Raymond S. Trudeau, D.M.D., a Charleston native, is excited to be in Easley and serve the general dentistry needs of the community. While studying at Clemson University, Dr. Trudeau enjoyed many outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and watersports and fell in love with the lakes and mountains in the area.
As a first generation dentistry, his path to the dental professions is somewhat untraditional. Upon graduation from James F. Byrnes High School in Spartanburg in 2000, Dr. Trudeau began working in the construction field. However, after the events that occurred on September 11th, he elected to enlist in the US Navy. While serving, Dr. Trudeau studied electronics and nuclear theory and was certified as a nuclear reactor operator. Upon attaining an honorable discharge from the Navy, he then focused his attention on pursuing an education in engineering from Clemson University.
Prior to Dr. Trudeau’s first engineering internship, his personal dentist encouraged him to explore the profession of dentistry. He then began investigating the profession and found that he has developed a passion for the art of dentistry and found serving others to be rewarding. Dr. Trudeau completed his Civil Engineering degree at Clemson University with Honors in 2011 then his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2016.
Dr. Trudeau is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the South Carolina Dental Association. He is looking forward to following the footsteps of his mentor, Dr. Edwards, becoming involved with the City of Easley, and serving the community as a whole. Dr. Trudeau is ecstatic to make the upstate his home again.
